Springtime Skokie Microdermabrasion!

by Alexandra Kilpatrick

Springtime in Skokie brings a slew of fun outdoor events. With all these new beginnings, it might be time to consider your overall health as well as the health of your skin.

For residents of Skokie, the spring is the perfect time to rejuvenate your skin with microdermabrasion.

As for springtime events, the Skokie Park District and its public agency partners will host an annual communitywide green living event, “Skokie’s Spring Greening,” on Sunday, April 6, according to SkokieParks.org. The event at Niles North High School will feature a trade show of green and sustainable products and services, workshops on green lifestyle choices, entertainment for all ages and unique opportunities for recycling household items.

The Skokie Park district will also hold a “Breakfast & Lunch with the Bunny” with an EGGstravaganza egg hunt in between on Saturday, April 19, according to SkokieParks.org. The Oakton Community Center will host the meals, with breakfast at 9:30 a.m. and lunch at 1 p.m., while the free public EGGstravaganza will begin promptly at 11 a.m. in Oakton Park. Make sure you’re on time, because the eggs go fast!

Emily Oaks Nature Center annually commemorates Earth Day on Sunday, April 27, according to SkokieParks.org. The entire family can celebrate nature with games, activities, music, food and a native plant sale at the nature center, located at 4650 Brummel Street in Skokie.

One of Illinois’ premier ethnic festivals, the Skokie Festival of Cultures has attracted more than 300,000 visitors and dozens of cultures, representing Skokie’s vast diversity, since its inception in 1991. Attendees can take a tour of global culture with a stamped passport and enjoy two days, filled with ethnic folk music and dance, a diverse range of food, arts and crafts, international children’s games, a merchandise bazaar, an international beer tasting and dozens of cultural booths and displays. The free festival will take place Saturday, May 17 and Sunday, May 18.

Springtime brings new beginnings and rejuvenation and therefore is the best possible time to refresh your skin with microdermabrasion. Feel free to contact one of our representatives today and schedule a consultation!
