Choose a gentler cleanser and make sure to exfoliate several times a week. Twice-daily applications of anti-aging eye creams help keep wrinkles at bay. Along with a good moisturizer and sunscreen, it’s time to start using other anti-aging products, such as serums designed for application after cleansing and before moisturizing.
This is the decade in which skins begins noticeably sagging. It’s time to add skin-tightening products to your regimen. Retinols help keep skin firm, and your bet is a prescription product such as Retin-A. Insurance won’t cover this medication, but it’s worth the price if you can afford it. By the time you’re in your 50s, you should look younger than your non-retinol using contemporaries. In your forties, make sure to add a quality night cream to your routine.

It’s never too late to make healthy choices, which may extend your life. Because skin gets drier as you age, you’ll need stronger moisturizers. This is the time when many women decide to try Botox and facial fillers to eradicate wrinkles. There is one plus – women who dealt with acne and oily skin in their youth often have much better complexions as they age then their peers with lifelong drier skin.
